Academics

At Wingate, we are proud of our long-standing tradition of academic excellence. For the past three years, our school has received the prestigious John Irwin Award from the Colorado Department of Education—an honor given to the top 5% of schools across the state. This year, our students ranked in the 98th percentile in both math and English Language Arts achievement, reflecting their hard work and the dedication of our staff.

A key component of this success is the support we provide for all learners. We have three highly skilled special education teachers who serve students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), as well as a team of qualified paraprofessionals who provide additional academic support to all students. Wingate is also proud to be the only elementary school in the district with a full-time Gifted and Talented teacher, ensuring advanced learners are challenged and inspired.

Instruction at Wingate is built on the Colorado Academic Standards, with rigorous expectations in every classroom. Our teachers use data-driven instruction, small-group learning, and enrichment opportunities to help each student reach their fullest potential.
